Electrical Transformer Design Engineer

About the Role

Designs and engineers transformers and custom magnetics, including preparing manufacturing documentation and drawings. Develops accurate estimates aligned with the company’s marketing and profit strategies. Acts as a technical advisor to customers to support sales and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

• Applies electrical engineering principles and techniques to achieve project goals.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to complete assignments.
• Creates clear and precise shop floor documentation packages to facilitate the complete build cycle of products.
• Interprets customer specifications and requirements, translating them into production-ready designs.
• Troubleshoots design requirements and assists customers with technical applications.
• Serves in a technical sales capacity, engaging with customer procurement, engineering, and upper management personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field, preferably with 4–5 years of experience in transformer and magnetic device design.
• Experience in down-hole electronics for the oil and gas industry is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer-assisted engineering and design software.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration within the engineering team, shop floor supervision, and customers.
• Willingness to work with a diverse, talented team.
