Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program/Course
- Responsible for comprehensive course instruction within specified program
- Responsible for providing Program Director/Director of Education with active input in course development (i.e., course descriptions, syllabus creation, textbook material, or equipment review)
- Responsible for the creation and revision of daily lesson
- Responsible for continued professional growth by attending in-service training and/or continuing education seminars and to attend faculty meetings.
- Student Development
- Responsible for creating a classroom environment which fosters students’ academic growth and guides their professional development
- Responsible for keeping DOE apprised of student progress (i.e., academic and attendance), especially in terms of performance trends detrimental to the development of a firm educational foundation (academic advisement and early warning forms)
- Responsible for providing extra help to those students experiencing difficulty in the mastery of course work
- Responsible for advising students who have minor problems which may be thwarting educational
- Correct and return quizzes, tests and lab assignments within 48 hours to
- Utilize instructional and audiovisual aids, and all available resources in the online
- Responsible to demonstrate utilization of community resources through arranging guest speakers, field trips and class participation in community service events
- Report damaged, broken, or malfunction equipment immediately to the Program Director/Director of Education
- Required to turn in grades within 48 hours of the end of term
- Perform other duties as required by the Program Director/Director of Education
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and, and internal policies and procedures
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department
- Electrical Trades Technology Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- 3 years of verifiable experience directly related to residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work, alarm systems, control systems or a combination of these areas.
- Prior teaching experience preferred
