Electrical Testing Engineering Technician

Responsibilities
- Perform functional, hi-pot, continuity, insulation resistance, and other electrical tests on manufactured assemblies and finished products
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain electrical test equipment and fixtures in accordance with established procedures
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and test specifications to execute accurate test plans
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot electrical failures; work with engineering to determine root cause and corrective actions
- Record and analyze test data, generate reports, and communicate findings to engineering and quality teams
- Support the development and validation of new test procedures and automated test systems
- Assist in the design and fabrication of test fixtures and benches
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E, UL, IEC, etc.)
- Maintain organized and accurate records of test results, calibration logs, and non-conformance reports
- Collaborate with production, quality, and design engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve yields
Requirements
- Associate's degree or technical certificate in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical testing within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, hi-pot testers, and data acquisition systems
- Solid understanding of electrical principles including AC/DC circuits, voltage, current, resistance, and power
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations relevant to electrical work (NFPA 70E, OSHA)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) or LabVIEW
- Knowledge of IPC, UL, or ISO quality standards
- Familiarity with ERP or MES systems
- Experience with PLCs or motor drives is a plus

Schedule
- Full-Time, Hourly - Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Some overtime may be required
Compensation
- $25-$35 per hour
