TYPICAL DUTIES
- Conducts and completes all testing and sea trials prior to acceptance, by the customer.
- Responds to all inquiries of customers, and agents of regulatory bodies concerning vessel testing.
- Maintains current documents of testing for all projects.
- SUBMIT STANDARD AND SPECIAL STATUS REPORTS AS ASSIGNED.
- Addresses deficiencies evidenced as a result of testing and works with Company engineers to correct deficiencies.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Considerable knowledge of shipbuilding processes and industry standards and regulations.
- Good knowledge of testing equipment and measuring devices and the ability to instruct inspectors on their proper operation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and develop sound, thorough inspection programs.
- Ability to effectively supervise and to interface effectively with customers, management and employees in all areas within the division.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- 1-2 years experience in Electrical Testing duties or any equivalent combination of Electrical experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
