Electrical Test Technician

About the role

The Electrical Test Technician supports quality engineering and inspection functions by conducting tests and maintaining test records. You will assist in calibrating tools and equipment, implement corrective actions, and perform quality assurance activities to ensure products meet customer and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend requirements from customer specifications, drawings, MIL specs, and schematics.
• Perform electrical tests on cable assemblies and harnesses, including Continuity (open/shorts), VSWR, Insertion Loss, Dielectric Withstanding Voltage, Insulation Resistance, and TDR readings.
• Use test equipment such as Cable Eye, PNA/Vector Network Analyzer, Volt meter, Data Bus Tester, and Megohmmeter.
• Apply IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards (internal training available).
• Ensure all specifications are followed and work is performed in conformance with customer and company standards.
• Report and document discrepancies regarding policies and procedures to supervisors/managers.
• Conduct general product inspection in addition to testing.
• Process and evaluate customer return material in a timely fashion.
• Complete Rework Forms when products do not meet requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of quality-related experience in a test environment.
• Strong communication skills; interface with production, sales, purchasing, and engineering personnel.
• Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel required; Access preferred) and custom computer software.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (overtime as required).

Pay

$23 to $27 per hour.
