Contract position based in Raymond, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Support development activities for vehicle electrical systems and ECUs with moderate oversight from senior engineers.
  • Plan, track, and execute assigned test tasks in alignment with project schedules and development milestones.
  • Coordinate closely with engineers, project leaders, and technical stakeholders to align technical details with delivery timelines.
  • Perform testing and verification of ECU hardware and software in prototype vehicles to validate functionality and performance.
  • Perform testing and verification of ECU hardware and software in production-level vehicles to confirm readiness for market release.
  • Execute EMC-related testing and verification of technical change points to ensure electrical performance, quality, and reliability.
  • Conduct hands-on vehicle testing to validate electrical functions and system interactions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical functional issues in vehicles and perform basic root-cause analysis to identify underlying problems.
  • Analyze test data and results using industry-standard automotive tools and software to draw clear and accurate conclusions.
  • Prepare detailed test reports that clearly document methods, results, and findings for internal review.
  • Present test results and verification reviews to technical leadership, explaining findings, risks, and recommendations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using test equipment for vehicle electrical systems and ECUs.
  • Ability to plan, track, and execute test activities according to project schedules and milestones.
  • Experience performing testing and verification of ECU hardware and software in vehicles.
  • Ability to conduct EMC-related testing and interpret results to assess electrical performance and reliability.
  • Hands-on skills in vehicle testing, troubleshooting, and basic root-cause analysis of electrical functional issues.
  • Competence in analyzing test data and results using industry-standard automotive tools and software.
  • Strong written communication skills to prepare clear and accurate test reports.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to present test results and verification reviews to technical leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project leaders, and technical stakeholders.

Work Environment

The role operates in an automotive development environment that includes both laboratory and vehicle-based testing. You will work hands-on with test equipment, vehicle electrical systems, and ECUs in prototype and production-level vehicles. The position involves coordination with cross-functional engineering teams and technical leadership, as well as regular use of industry-standard automotive tools and software for data analysis and reporting. Work hours generally follow project schedules and development milestones, with periods of focused testing and verification aligned to key delivery dates.

Pay

$35.00 - $35.00/hr.
