About the Role
InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician II to support the service needs of its customers. The technician will work at the local branch InCharge Office, reporting to the Service Manager, and will focus on running conduit, wiring and installation, installation of AC level 2 EV chargers, diagnosing and repairing electrical infrastructure, and performing regularly scheduled maintenance of both electrical infrastructure and AC L2 EV charging systems. This role requires significant regional travel to ensure timely and customer-centered turnkey delivery.
Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local regulations.
- Panel work: De-energized installation of breakers, labeling circuits, and understanding load balancing.
- Identifying and resolving electrical faults, including short circuits for lighting and power distribution.
- Installation of emergency drivers, contactors, time clocks, and troubleshooting EMS systems.
- Represent the company at client locations with professional conduct.
- Support multi-person work assignments and EPC-related field activities through hands-on assistance with installation and maintenance tasks (under supervision of ET 3 or above).
- Shadow and assist experienced technicians to learn EV charging systems, workflows, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices in customer service.
- Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting, testing, and maintaining EV charging systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs on AC chargers by identifying common issues and restoring functionality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in Procore, Salesforce, and other systems.
- Follow all safety standards, site requirements, and company procedures.
- Participate in training programs to build technical competency and advance within the technician career path.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete work efficiently and effectively.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
- OSHA 10 Card required or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
- Associate’s degree or higher in an applicable technical field is desirable.
- ASE or other applicable certifications are desirable.
- Commercial Driver’s license or ability to obtain is highly desirable.
- Some EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit installation experience.
- Familiarity with smart panels, AC L2 EV chargers, and renewable energy systems.
- Adaptable to the changing dynamics of start-up business strategy.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision.
- Strong safety awareness and basic troubleshooting aptitude.
- Proficiency with Procore or equivalent software is a plus.
- Ability to travel 25% - 50% within the U.S.
Pay
Hourly range: $31 USD - $37 USD.
