Responsibilities
- Live and adhere to the Safety Culture of Zero Accidents, and ensure plant safety needs are given top priority, comply with all safety regulations, and maintain clean and organized work areas
- Comply with all plant rules and corporate policies with regard to business conduct
- Ensures operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventive, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance on drives, backup power systems, motors, and other electronic systems, utilizing diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications and industry best practices
- Troubleshoots and makes minor program modifications to HMIs, PLCs, Servos, VFD’s and other control systems
- Provides daily support to the production line and makes timely and appropriate decisions when an emergency or breakdown occurs so that production interruption is minimized
- Supports maintenance technicians and assists with mechanical work as needed
- Identifies opportunities for improving process controls and instrumentation and executes implementation with engineering support as needed
- Understands and able to troubleshoot and navigate the manufacturing LAN and process communications
- Assists with electrical, instrumentation and control installations and plant-led capital projects
- Provides feedback and recommendations for downtime and shop work for electrical activities with respect to work requests, downtime lists and assigned projects
- Trains others on electrical maintenance procedures and best practices
- Actively support and engage in plant TPM initiatives, housekeeping, and 5S programs
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and trainings; reviewing technical publications; establishing professional and intercompany networks
- Able to support the plant outside of normally scheduled hours as needed (remote or in person)
- Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of mathematics
- Excellent communication skills

- Able to read and interpret blueprints and skematics
- Able to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
- Able to troubleshoot and program PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs

- Self-starter, motivated and goal/results oriented
- Willing and able to teach/train others
- Strong computer aptitude (typing, MS office suite, etc.)
- Able to use a multimeter and other electrical troubleshooting instruments/tools
- Must be able to score at or above Class 1 mechanic level on the maintenance assessment
