Electrical Technician

About the role

Precious Plate is hiring an Electrical Technician to maintain electrical equipment that supports our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time overnight position on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), reporting to the Facilities Manager and Electrical Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment up to 480 V.
• Repair recorders, timers, transducers, controls, fuses, heaters, rectifiers, lamps, motors, motor controls, electrical panels, switches, power supplies, pumps, circuit boards, and soldering equipment.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers to monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and install production machinery.
• Install and lay out electrical wire ways and cabinets throughout the facility.
• Operate power tools, man lifts, fork trucks, and similar equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration programs according to ISO and TS standards.
• Work with AC/DC motors and drives such as Powerflex and KB.
• Run simple conduits with EMT and PVC tubing.
• Support company goals while following all safety rules and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two-year degree in electrical technology or equivalent experience preferred.
• Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
• Experience with electrical panel building and diagnosis of electrical circuits.
• Familiarity with maintenance, plumbing, and carpentry is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.
• Manual dexterity for job functions.
• Ability to stand up to 12 hours per day, bend, stoop, kneel, and push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Working Conditions

• Occasionally works around chemical solutions.
• Environment may reach high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature.
• Safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots, and hearing protection required; other PPE may be required.
• Exposure to background noise, odors, or dust possible.

Pay

$84,656 – $100,672 per year.

Schedule

Full-time, overnight shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
