Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble and wire electrical components of machines according to Engineering design and report all design and production discrepancies to supervisor
• Validate program for machine operations
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits
• Supports facility housekeeping and Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and procedures through department activities. Use lock-out/tag-out system
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

• High skill level, thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the process involved in the position
• Minimum 2 years experience in electrical
• Must be able to use conduit benders, wire strippers, basic hand tools, voltage and AMP meter
• Use laptop computer for diagnostic evaluation of machines
• Read and understand electrical schematics, perform basic math
• Literacy is necessary
• Will be required to regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift up to 70 lbs
• Will be required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, reach at/above/below shoulder level, possess manual dexterity and near visual acuity
• Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings
• Must be willing to wear all approved shop safety equipment and personal protection equipment
• Able to pass a background check
