Electrical Technician

ARM CAMCO is seeking an Electrical Technician to assemble, test, troubleshoot, clean, and recondition electrical/mechanical equipment in the shop and on field projects. Equipment includes electronic devices, relays, breakers, switchgear, transformers, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Complete product assembly, modification, refurbishment, or repair per specific instructions.
  • Seek clarification and support from supervisors or peers as needed.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Work safely while following OSHA, MSHA, CAMCO, and customer-specific regulations.
  • Apply technical expertise to complete required workscope on each customer order.
  • Perform product testing and document results.
  • Follow ISO 9001 procedures to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Accurately log project work time and maintain project data in the ERP system.
  • Travel as necessary for field service projects (50% regional travel, occasional overnight).
  • Assist with customer-related needs across company operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, partners, and clients to meet or exceed client needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Motivated self-starter with an interest in learning new skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills for data analysis and product quality confirmation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally (50%) with occasional overnight stays.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced technical training or degree in electronics, mechanical, or electrical equipment.
  • Experience with industrial electrical equipment service, repair, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and electrical wiring diagrams/schematics.
  • Experience with basic computer programs (Word, Excel) and/or ERP systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, reach, and climb ladders.
  • Regularly lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks like cutting wire.
