Electrical Technician, Assistant

What You Get To Do

• Inspect and repair general lighting and power circuits as well as miscellaneous electrical devices
• Install lighting and receptacle circuitry in existing structures, as well as in new additions
• Learn and participate in daily ride inspections
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services
• Provide support in troubleshooting problems with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment
• Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations

What It Takes To Succeed

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a park driver’s license
• Ability to provide and use basic hand tools
• Ability to pass all ride competency tests and obtain certification
• Able to frequently lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Excellent communication skills and basic math abilities
• Able to walk uphill and work on heights above 150 feet
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather
• Able to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
