Electrical Assistant

About the role

This entry-level position supports the installation and maintenance of electrical systems on residential and commercial roofing projects. The role focuses on hands-on tasks and provides general labor support while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. It serves as a crucial steppingstone toward becoming a full Installer, with opportunities to advance into more technical installation responsibilities through training, experience, and strong performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of rooftop electrical systems, including:
  • Snow melt systems (heating cables)
  • Solar panel wiring and related components
  • Conduits, junction boxes, breakers, and grounding systems
• Perform hands-on tasks such as running wire, cutting conduit, and mounting components
• Transport, load, and unload materials and tools to and from job sites
• Assist in troubleshooting and basic repairs under the guidance of lead installers
• Read and follow blueprints, electrical plans, and manufacturer specifications with supervision
• Perform general labor duties including site prep, cleanup, and equipment maintenance
• Support roofing crews by coordinating tasks and ensuring trade efficiency
• Conduct safety checks and maintain a hazard-free work environment
• Arrive on time (7:00 AM start time) and ready to work each day
• Other duties as assigned
