Commercial Electrical Assistant

About the role

Freedom Power is looking for a full-time Commercial Electrician Assistant to join our team. The Electrician Helper will work closely with a Licensed Electrician to perform routine electrical work and install electrical systems that include electrical wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures. As an Electrician Helper, you should be a quick learner, can work in a team environment, and have top-notch customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and Assist Electrician – Take instruction from senior electricians, including Licensed Wiremen, Journeyman, or Master Electricians, following written or verbal directions to complete electrical projects.
• Follow Safety Protocols – Adhere to all relevant safety codes and guidelines while assisting with the installation and servicing of electrical equipment. Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment and follow job-specific safety protocols.
• Maintain Tools and Inventory – Ensure all necessary tools and equipment are on-site and readily available. Keep electrical parts and materials organized and transport tools and materials to the electrician as needed.
• Prepare and Clean Work Site – Assist with cleaning and preparing the workspace before a project begins. After the project, clean and tidy the work area, removing unused materials, dust, and dirt.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Electrician.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to withstand heights, work on roofs, and climb ladders.
• Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs routinely.
• Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift.
• Ability to work in 30-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions.
