Electrical Technician 3rd shift

About the role
This position is responsible for a wide range of electrical duties involving the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical control systems for production, shop, and extrusion. The top priority is troubleshooting and assisting in the proper operation of production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime. The Electrical Technician works closely with production and engineering teams to build and maintain machine control systems, encouraging creative thinking to keep internal systems at the cutting edge of control and computer technology.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
- Mount electrical components and wiring in machine control cabinets and on machines.
- Meet and support production needs via technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
- Analyze, track, and remediate root causes of problems, and determine preventative solutions.
- Participate in the design of any integration related to production or business needs.
Requirements
- 2-year degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience in the Electrical Technology field.
- Proficient with electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficient with electrical wiring.
Qualifications
- Experience in wiring protocols.
- Experience with programming of variable frequency drives and servo amplifiers.
- Ability to analyze problems, assess multiple options, and provide clear recommendations.
- Ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relationships at all levels, and across all business units.
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Desire for continual learning and personal development.
Schedule
3rd shift (Sunday 10:30 pm - Friday 6:30 am).
