Electrical Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support electrical systems for high-speed automated assembly equipment
  • Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
  • Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new and existing equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime and improve system reliability
  • Support electrical integration of automated material handling systems including robotics, AMRs, AGVs, and conveyor systems
  • Enable efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of totes and pallets through system connectivity and controls
  • Support electrical integration and operation of high-speed vision systems for part inspection and quality validation
  • Aid in system troubleshooting and performance optimization of inspection technologies
  • Ensure reliable data capture and signal integration between vision systems and controls platforms
  • Lead and support process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, PDCA, and RCA
  • Analyze electrical system performance data to drive improvements in uptime, safety, and efficiency
  • Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Controls, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teams
  • Partner with equipment OEMs, system integrators, and suppliers for electrical system development and support
  • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operations personnel

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8 years minimum experience with industrial electrical systems, control panels, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of industrial automation environments and equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting high-speed automation environments (300+ parts per minute)
  • Medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Robotics and automated material handling systems (AMR, AGV)
  • High-speed vision systems and inspection equipment
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial communication protocols
  • Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance (NFPA, NEC, etc.)
