About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage our Electrical Department as a working supervisor to streamline processes and ensure efficiency by managing projects through troubleshooting, electrical systems, and components for custom manufactured trailers.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, company safety policies, and proper use of PPE, while proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Manage and support a team of electricians ensuring projects are completed to the estimated hours, cost estimates, and project timelines.
  • Support hiring initiatives and train employees, engineers, and project managers in best practices.
  • Verify materials are available for current and upcoming projects.
  • Assist with the developmental needs of the electrical team.
  • Troubleshoot electrical applications.
  • Run and terminate circuits.
  • Perform hands-on duties while managing workflow success of the Electrical Team.
  • Ensure safety of shop floor employees through good housekeeping and safe practices by way of daily shop walks to identify potential safety risks and/or issues.
  • Responsible for promoting a positive attitude and serving as a role model with positive communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of electrical experience, preferably in manufacturing or commercial environments.
  • 2+ years previous supervisory and/or leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems, proper wire sizing, NEC codes, and generator power systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency using air and electric hand tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn new products, projects, and processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate tasks when appropriate, and perform well under demanding timelines.
  • Ability to travel and manage project(s) at remote locations, as needed (~3%).
  • Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate safe driving practices while driving company vehicles or when driving your personal vehicle on behalf of the company.
  • Stable work history with a consistent record of reliability and professionalism.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Audio, visual, and/or AV wiring.
  • Experience with welding and/or carpentry.
  • Conduit installation experience.
  • PLC installation experience.
  • Electrical Trade School and/or certifications.
  • Certified Journeyman/Master Electrician.

Physical Requirements

  • Physically able to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
