Summary of Primary Functions
The Electrical Supervisor oversees electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across multiple job sites. This role involves managing a team of electricians, ensuring compliance with safety codes, project specifications, and industry standards. The supervisor will coordinate daily tasks, troubleshoot electrical issues, and ensure the timely and efficient completion of electrical work while traveling to various locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform demolitions, new installations, alterations, interconnective machine wiring, and repairs of electrical systems.
- Work with various types of process machinery in industrial and automotive plants.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot conveyor systems.
- Handle data, controls, and PLC systems for automation.
- Install and maintain conduit and wiring systems.
- Work with cable trays and multi-conductor cables.
- Install and maintain transformers, switches, sensors, relays, starters, motors, and other electrical components.
- Perform electrical disconnect/removal/reconnect of machinery.
- Oversee low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
- Work with and have knowledge of wire pulling and conduit bending tools.
- Work with and have knowledge of how to properly use multi-meters, insulation resistance test equipment, and data cable certification instruments.
- Knowledge and experience pulling and terminating Cat5/5e/6/6a/7 data cables.
- Maintain habits of cleanliness and high degree of workmanship.
- Manage LED task lighting systems.
- Plan and design new or modified installations to minimize material waste, ensure ease of future maintenance, and prevent unsafe or unsightly wiring, all in compliance with national and local codes.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to map out wiring and equipment locations, ensuring installation meets specifications.
- Monitor the function of installed systems to identify potential hazards and determine if adjustments, relocation, or replacement is needed.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including time sheets, change orders, safety reports, and accident reports.
- Absorb and manage costs for new projects and opportunities.

Job Specifications or Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma preferred but not required.
- Certifications: 30-hour Construction OSHA required. NFPA 70E required. NCCER is preferred but not required.
- Experience: 2+ years as an electrical supervisor is highly desirable. 6 months or more managing a team is preferred.
- Skills: Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturer's literature. Experience in scoping jobs, ordering materials, and managing project requirements. Must have previously worked on energized circuits and equipment in accordance with safety policies. In-depth understanding of and up-to-date knowledge of NEC rules and codes.

- Skilled in maintaining professionalism and tact when dealing with others in all situations.
- Coordination of eye-hand movements and manual dexterity.
- Ability to manipulate and handle objects with hands and fingers effectively.
- Physical flexibility to stoop, kneel, squat, bend, and crawl as needed during tasks.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, or other high structures and maintaining balance.
- Good vision and hearing, either naturally or with correction.
