Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee management of all project craft employees.
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure adherence to the project schedule and budget.
  • Maintain the construction schedule for the entire project, ensuring its accuracy and relevance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Train foremen to develop, monitor, and adhere to a 3-week look-ahead schedule accordingly.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment necessary for the project.
  • Ensure that all work meets required standards and compliance.
  • Aid in the implementation of QA/QC programs.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards on the project site.
  • This includes conducting safety audits, providing safety training to staff, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Promptly report any violations of policies, procedures, or safety guidelines to the appropriate parties.
  • Ensure all employees within the team know and follow the company’s safety, work rules, and policies.
  • Oversee field communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Attend meetings and ensure all parties are informed of project progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in the electrical trade, preferably with data center construction or related fields.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple crews and at least 150 craft employees.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and comprehending drawings, submittals, specifications, and BIM detailing.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and industry standards.
  • Commitment to safety and quality, maintaining compliance with company, state, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to develop, monitor, and adjust construction schedules for overall projects.
  • Ability to contribute to or direct installation and troubleshooting processes.
  • Ability to coordinate manpower needs and material orders following competitive price comparisons.
  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors the majority of the time.
  • Maintain compliance with company, state and OSHA safety standards.

Work Environment

  • Outside most of the time.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Manufacturing and refining environment.
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks.
  • Potential or periodic amounts of time for the following: Driving if required to travel.
