About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects in the field from project kickoff through completion. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in electrical construction who can effectively manage field personnel, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily field operations for commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects.
- Lead and coordinate Foremen, Journeyman Electricians, Apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Project Managers and other stakeholders.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure work is completed according to plan.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower to maintain productivity and project timelines.
- Conduct daily jobsite planning meetings and communicate project expectations with field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, NEC requirements, and company safety policies.
- Monitor workmanship to ensure quality standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
- Identify and resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and unforeseen project challenges.
- Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers regarding project progress, labor forecasts, scheduling, and budget considerations.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, general contractors, inspectors, and project teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Foreman managing commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects.
- Experience leading commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, data center, or institutional electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings.
- Proven experience managing field labor, subcontractors, scheduling, and productivity.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, or similar platforms.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred but not required depending on state requirements.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
