Responsibilities
- Support production by programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting plant robotic, automation, and electrical control systems— including PLCs, servos, and industrial communication networks—while documenting findings, driving safety and process improvements, ensuring regulatory and food-safety compliance, and providing technical expertise for equipment repairs, projects, and ongoing technological advancements.

- Knowledge of Robotics’ and Automation Program and maintain/update programs on all Programmable Logic Controllers in the plant
- Knowledge of servos, analog, and Serco’s knowledge
- Knowledge in communications including ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet
- Make documented reports of conditions found and actions taken and recommend improvements.
- Provide support for production and projects for safety improvements, process improvements, OEE improvements, and costs savings initiatives
- Maintain skill levels in industrial maintenance techniques to keep pace with changing technology by containing education in such areas to meet the needs of the plant.
- May be required to work during the plant shutdown periods.
- Repair and/or replace faulty plant electronic equipment.
- Aid Plant Electrical SPA in remaining in compliance with electrical safety and LTV requirements.
- Responsible to comply with SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.
- Ultimately, you will keep us on track for our operational plans by providing a safe, cost effective, and high-quality mechanic service.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 10+ years of work experience in the electro-mechanical trade within an industrial environment.
- Formal training in industrial electronics or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance techniques, including instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission, bearings, seals, motors, electrical power and control circuits, DC/AC drives, PLCs, and solid-state systems.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment, power tools, hand tools, and electrical/electronic test instruments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Advanced PLC programming training, including at least three manufacturer-provided classes.
- Must be available for overtime as needed.
- Must be flexible to work any shift as required.
