About the Role
As an Electrical Services Manager 2 at Rosendin, you will provide overall management and direction for small recurring and non-recurring work, including service contracts, projects, and work orders of low to medium complexity. This role offers a true sense of ownership and the opportunity to work with a proven industry leader on high-profile projects nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Provide initial client contact to assess client needs for their facility or service call.
- Prepare complete estimates and budgets for service contracts, projects, or service calls with a detailed review of client requirements.
- Manage 1-year to 5-year service contracts, including electrical and fire alarm services for preventive maintenance, repairs, and subcontracts.
- Assign tasks to staff for projects and work orders as required.
- Understand terms and rates with clients to facilitate and sustain service accounts.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts with the Project Assistant or Service Coordinator to protect the company's interest while maintaining client relationships.
- Prepare monthly cost reports under the supervision of a Division Manager.
- Schedule regular visits with sustaining service accounts to ensure client satisfaction.
- Fulfill division objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy.
- Maintain a complete knowledge of the status of all projects.
- Instill and promote a "win-win" attitude with service drivers to ensure profitable work and satisfied customers.
- Coordinate efforts with the Business Development Group.
- Monitor the quantity and quality of work performed by service drivers and support personnel.
- Execute organizational programs, policies, standards, and procedures consistent with corporate guidelines.
- Assume additional responsibilities as required by the division's operating needs or as directed by the Division Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a project management, service management, or facility management role.
- Demonstrated experience in promoting and selling service contracts to meet client needs (can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience).
- Proficient technical and customer service skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and work within budgets.
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
- Commitment to working in a team atmosphere.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word); advanced skills in Excel.
- Accubid and Oracle experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of CMMS platforms, such as Maximo, Tririga, Archibus, Maintenance Connection, ChekHub, etc.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
- On-site and in-office presence required to develop and maintain customer relationships.
Working Conditions
- General work environment: sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
- Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions (e.g., fluorescent lighting, air conditioning).
- Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Travel up to 50%.
