About the role

Loenbro is hiring an Electrical Service Technician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across commercial and industrial projects. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, supervisors, customers, and field personnel to coordinate service work, ensure safe and efficient project completion, and maintain high customer satisfaction. The Electrical Service Technician will perform electrical installations independently and may lead or mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians by providing technical guidance, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring compliance with codes, project specifications, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout, planning, and execution of small jobs while leading a small crew
• Create written estimates of time, materials, and manpower required for service tasks
• Communicate with vendors, engineers, owners, service managers, and contractors to ensure jobs are completed within scope and on budget
• Develop and maintain respectful, positive working relationships with clients and identify sales opportunities
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
• Adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment with self-motivation and flexibility

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Texas State electrical journeyman license
• Minimum 4 years of documented field work or completion of a 4-year electrical apprentice program
• Excellent understanding of the electrical industry
• Previous foreman, leadman, or supervisory experience preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role operates in an outdoor construction setting with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather, and uneven terrain. Frequent visits to outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather extremes are required. If driving is necessary, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required, subject to a DMV background records search. The position involves sitting, stooping, crawling, and kneeling. Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro’s Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies is mandatory.
