Electrical Service Technician

About the role

Superior EMP is a multi-state contractor with over 20 years of experience providing commercial electrical services. We are seeking a Commercial Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and install commercial electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of various commercial electrical wiring, power, and conduit systems
  • Skilled in pulling and terminating wires in control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, and/or raceways
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing emergency generators and temporary power systems, including automatic transfer switches and/or power distribution systems
  • Knowledge of and experience with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul systems, and/or HVAC motor control wiring is preferred
  • Ability to work independently from blueprints, sketches, and schematic drawings
  • Provide informative customer service regarding the nature of electrical repairs
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with department policies
  • Proficient in the use of cell phone communication, GPS, and electronic documentation technology
  • Submit service paperwork and reports as required by department policy
  • Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department

Requirements

  • Five or more years of electrical experience in commercial electrical service or construction roles
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check
  • Proficient English communication skills required to write reports and emails
  • Must be able to work according to safety guidelines, OSHA, and workplace policies

Qualifications

Must be able to work Monday through Friday, occasional travel, and night shifts. Overtime available but not guaranteed.

Skills

Must have knowledge of and experience with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul systems, and/or HVAC motor control wiring.

Pay

$32 to $45 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule
