About the Role

The Electrical Service Technician will travel to client sites to perform electrical repairs and maintenance on various types of industrial equipment. This role requires a high level of quality control, professionalism, and staying current with industry trends and standards.

Responsibilities

• Experience with all wiring methods associated with construction electrical work.
• Ensure electrical installations conform to NEC and trade standards.
• Troubleshoot commercial and/or industrial control circuits.
• Apply working knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and motor controls.
• Perform PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Use various types of construction tools and equipment.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and requirements for DOT drivers.
• Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Wear common protective clothing and use proper safety equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical trade school certificate preferred.
• Completion of electrical apprenticeship a plus.
• Five or more years of electrical and/or instrumentation experience in heavy industrial applications.
• Valid driver's license and/or valid DOT medical card.
• VFD and soft start troubleshooting, and start-up experience required.
• Ability to work overtime and on-call.
• Must be able to operate lifts and bucket trucks.
• Ability to regularly talk and hear.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 80 pounds.
• Able to push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
