Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits, including three-phase motors, generators, switchboards, and motor starters.
- Work with steering systems, alarm/automation systems, xenon fixtures, and grounding systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as multi-meters, amp meters, and meggers for electrical testing.
- Terminate various types of electrical equipment and read electrical schematics and prints.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps and other electrical components.
- Supervise and train Level 2-3 technicians.
- Manage projects as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Be available for on-call duties during a seven-day period as scheduled.
- Occasionally travel to different company locations as required.
- Adhere to all safety and operational policies and procedures.
- Work in a 24/7 operational environment, including overtime as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs over extended distances.
- Capable of working in all weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and gangways up to 25 feet in height.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and work overhead for extended periods.
- Must be able to operate vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
- Must be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DWI convictions).
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
- Previous experience in electrical service work, preferably in marine or industrial environments.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues, management, and customers.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic mechanical skills are required.
