Electrical Service Technician

About the role

$29–$35/hour • Full-Time • Chilhowie, VA & Blountville, TN

We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Service Technician to troubleshoot, install, and service residential and light commercial electrical systems. If you take ownership, solve problems confidently, and care about doing the job right the first time, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair residential and light commercial electrical systems
• Complete electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs
• Work with panels, circuits, wiring, switches, outlets, and other electrical components
• Install, maintain, and service backup generators and power systems
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Identify electrical issues and determine effective repair solutions
• Perform work according to NEC requirements and applicable local codes
• Explain electrical issues and recommended solutions to customers
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians when projects involve integrated electrical and mechanical systems
• Complete job documentation and maintain accurate service records
• Keep jobsites safe, clean, and professional

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of electrical experience, preferably residential and light commercial
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Working knowledge of NEC and electrical safety requirements
• Generator experience is a plus
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred, but not required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Professional communication skills
• Reliable work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and confidently in the field
