About the role
A Safety Trainer educates employees on potential risks and hazards while training them in procedures designed to prevent accidents and injuries. This role involves delivering safety training classes, ranging from first aid/CPR to equipment training, for new hires and existing employees companywide.
Responsibilities
- Assess the company’s safety training needs
- Design and implement safety training programs and courses
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety-related regulations
- Implement preventive measures and recommend improvements on safety issues
- Stay current with the latest trends and innovations in the field of safety
Requirements
- CSHO in Construction, General Industry, or both
- Safety training experience preferred, but will train the right person
- Occasional travel with overnight stays to out-of-state job sites
- Electrical experience a plus but not necessary
- Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Collaborative work style with a results-oriented approach
- Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Accurate and detail-oriented with all assignments
