Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop career paths for Safety Coordinator(s).
- Coach EIG team members on safety leadership and management practices.
- Lead and live EIG’s injury-free environment culture.
- Lead pre-qualification processes for EIG.
- Provide trending analysis for project / regional data on a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis.
- Foster the development of safety programs and protocols.
- Develop and blend site-specific safety plan(s) that incorporates both EIG's and our core market customers’ safe work practices.
- Aid in the continual development of new methods for abating hazards.
- Perform regular jobsite safety audits of worksite activities.
- Share findings, corrective actions and corrective plans with DPR project management.
- Utilize every resource necessary, including escalation, to ensure the maintenance of an injury-free environment.
- Monitor the subcontractor selection process and adherence to established environmental safety and health guidelines.
- Measure team engagement regarding safety management practices.
Qualifications
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- A strong work ethic and a “can-do,” “let’s find a solution” attitude.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on construction sites.
- OSHA 500 training.
- Certified competent person, train-the-trainer, and other activity specific certifications.
- Degree in safety management or CHST certification preferred.
- Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing / data center / hi-rise experience preferred.
- Carpenter or laborer union affiliation okay.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel to and from the office as well as assigned job site(s).
