About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our team in Solon, Ohio. This role involves developing and establishing clear, practical electrical designs, managing project documentation, and collaborating with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and establish clear, practical electrical designs aligned with industry best practices, client specifications, and regulatory codes.
- Create detailed drawings, including plans, sections, and isometrics, that support project execution.
- Maintain meticulous project documentation, including CAD files, reference folders, and updates.
- Lead or assist in project scope estimation, work hour forecasting, drawing reviews, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate directly with clients to communicate design concepts and adapt to scope modifications.
- Cook up with internal teams and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure seamless project progression.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for accurate design and drafting.
- Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of solid drafting experience within electrical design.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), power distribution systems (480V – 12kV), lighting, grounding, motor controls, and heat tracing.
- Proven experience in energy, chemical, or industrial projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently and independently.
Qualifications
- Experience serving as a Project Lead or Discipline Lead.
- Nice to have additional certifications or specialized training in electrical design or project management.
- Knowledge of other electrical design software or project management tools.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Experience in energy, chemical, or industrial projects.
Benefits
Our benefits package includes:
- Paid hourly for overtime.
Pay
$60,000 - $95,000 annually.
