Revit Electrical Designer

Responsibilities

• Design and Engineering: Responsible for the design, planning, organizing, and development of documents, methods, approaches, and techniques for conceptual and interpretive drafting of design-build or plan/spec projects.
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Confers with Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, Business Development, and Estimating departments to resolve technical support issues and coordinate production scheduling.
• External Collaboration: Interacts with engineers, architects, consultants, owners, representatives, and electrical equipment vendors to resolve design issues and ensure project requirements are met.
• Document Preparation: Research, develop, and prepare design documents, and review completed work to ensure the adequacy and accuracy of drawings and designs.
• Licensing and Compliance: Assist in the procurement and upkeep of electrical licensing requirements as directed by the Vice President.
• Continuous Improvement: Upgrade skills and education to maintain the level of expertise required by branch operations.

Requirements

• Education: High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience. A college degree is preferred.
• Experience: High degree of technical knowledge and proficiency in Revit. Knowledge of electrical construction and proficiency in NEC code standards. Experience with computer estimating applications.
• SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Strong administrative and computer skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
