Electrical Repair Technician

About the Role

HYTORC is seeking a Tool Repair Technician to work on our line of Pneumatic/Electro-Mechanical Torque Multiplier tools.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains torque tools, and equipment requiring mechanical, electrical or pneumatic repair and performs preventive maintenance services.
• Pretesting of pneumatic and electric tools and accessories for the sole purpose of proper form, fit and function.
• Troubleshooting, tearing down, repairing, reassembling and calibrating all types of torque multiplying tools in shop.
• Works with sales and service team members, engineers and customers to meet the growing day‑to‑day repair requirements.
• Checks tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
• Assists in familiarizing and training customers on tool operation and maintenance.
• Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in repairing and maintaining tools and/or equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and successfully repair equipment or tools and plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing workload.
• Must have and be able to use your own set of basic tools.
• Demonstrate ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations.
• Must be a dependable team player with high energy and a strong commitment to quality output.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment as needed.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have clean and valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

• Ability to routinely lift 25‑40 lbs tools.
• Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching and reaching.

Work Environment

Repair shop environment.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $22 to $28 per hour, based on skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs, adjusted for geographic location.

For an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
