Electrical Renewables Project Engineer

Full-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections using

for headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title. Must not include Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate. Must preserve all substantive info. We need to parse the posting. Job Type Full-time Description: "Join us to shape communities..." That's description paragraph. Then sections: About Our Firm (maybe "About the role"? Actually heading "About Our Firm" is about firm, not role. But we need to map to allowed headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can use "About the role" for description of role? The posting includes "How This Role Is Unique", "How You Will Make An Impact". Those could be responsibilities. Also "Requirements" section includes Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. Also "Why You’ll Love Working At NTH" includes benefits etc. We need to decide which sections to include based on content. We have: - Description (intro) maybe as

before sections. - About Our Firm: could be considered "About the role"? Not exactly. But we could treat as "About the role" maybe includes description of firm and role uniqueness. However the instruction: "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So we can choose any of those headings if content exists. We should not create headings without content. We have content for: - About the role: maybe combine "About Our Firm" and "How This Role Is Unique". Could be considered about the role and firm. - Responsibilities: "How You Will Make An Impact" list of duties. - Requirements: "Required Qualifications" list. - Qualifications: maybe "Preferred Qualifications" could be Qualifications? Actually they separate Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. Could treat Required as Requirements, Preferred as Qualifications? Or we could combine both under Requirements and Qualifications sections. The instruction says we can have both Requirements and Qualifications sections. So we can put Required Qualifications under Requirements, and Preferred Qualifications under Qualifications. - Skills: maybe we can extract skills from responsibilities? But there is not a dedicated skills list. Could we create Skills section from bullet points like "Ability to work independently..." etc. Those are more like skills. Could put them under Skills. - Benefits: "Why You’ll Love Working At NTH" includes benefits: compensation, bonus, career roadmaps, project excellence, 401(k) match, ESOP, flexible-hybrid work, generous time off, wellness, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.), life insurance, disability, inclusive culture, Chief Pet Officer, ownership statement. That's benefits. - Pay: Not explicitly stated; only "competitive pay with a generous compensation program". No specific numbers. According to instruction: never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. It does mention compensation program but not specific pay. It says "competitive pay with a generous compensation program". That is vague but still mentions pay. However instruction says "never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. 'commensurate with experience', 'not specified', 'N/A', 'varies', 'TBD')". "competitive pay" is somewhat vague but not a placeholder like those. It's a statement. Might be acceptable to include Pay section with that statement. But safer to omit Pay if not specific. The instruction: "never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them." It does state "competitive pay with a generous compensation program". That is stating pay exists but not amount. Might be considered stating them. I'd include Pay with that sentence. - Schedule: Not mentioned besides full-time. Could infer full-time schedule but not explicit. No schedule details. So omit Schedule. Now we need to output HTML fragment only, no /. Use

for each section heading. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like bullet points exactly as in posting (maybe rephrase? Must preserve info, not necessarily exact wording but cannot lose detail). We'll try to keep the substance. We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. So we must delete the EEO statement, Work Authorization, AAP/EEO Statement, Notice To Third Party Agencies, Ownership Statement? Ownership statement maybe part of benefits? It's about ESOP; could be considered benefit. But it's also a statement about ownership. Might be considered part of benefits/culture. We'll keep it under Benefits maybe. We must also remove duplicated lines. Let's extract content. Intro: "Join us to shape communities, collaborate with passionate professionals, and grow with a company that invests in your success, where you’re not just an Employee but an Owner." That's description. About Our Firm: Since 1968, NTH Consultants, Ltd. has been a critical part of the infrastructure engineering and environmental services that strengthen our communities and protect our ecosystem. From geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting to structural design and construction management, electric power engineering, and beyond, we provide solutions that support the success and sustainability of projects. When you join NTH, you’ll gain more than a job- you’ll become part of a team that values your career, your growth, and your life. We are committed to providing a flexible and supportive environment, professional development opportunities, and a vibrant culture that celebrates collaboration and innovation. Our culture is built on accountability, ownership, inclusion, integrity, safety, and excellence. How This Role Is Unique: NTH is seeking an Electrical Renewables Project Engineer for a key position in our newly formed Electrical Engineering Power and Utilities Division. This position is intended to be based out of our Grand Rapids office, with potential for an experienced and independent candidate to work out of our Northville or Lansing offices. This is an exciting seller-doer type role. The right candidate will have the opportunity to bid, manage, and execute engineering projects, and develop strong client relationships and repeat business specifically in utility-scale renewable energy, BESS, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure markets. This position naturally provides opportunities to develop subject matter expertise, project management capability, client relationships, and leadership skills within the division. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build NTH’s Electrical Engineering Power and Utilities Division. The right candidate will not only help establish the Division’s client base and reputation, but help develop its internal culture, standards, and operating procedures. How You Will Make An Impact: list of duties (many bullet-like sentences). We'll convert to

    • . Requirements Required Qualifications: list. Preferred Qualifications: list. Why You’ll Love Working At NTH: benefits list. We also have "Ownership Statement" separate but could be part of benefits. We need to avoid duplication: The "Ownership Statement" repeats ESOP info already in benefits. We'll keep only once. Now decide sections: - About the role: Could combine About Our Firm + How This Role Is Unique. We'll put under

      About the role

      with paragraphs. - Responsibilities:

      Responsibilities

      with
      • from How You Will Make An Impact. - Requirements:

        Requirements

        with
        • from Required Qualifications. - Qualifications:

          Qualifications

          with
          • from Preferred Qualifications. - Skills: Could we extract skills from responsibilities? There's also a list of abilities in Required Qualifications like "Ability to work independently..." etc. Those are skills. Might be better to put them under Skills. But we already used Required Qualifications for Requirements. Could split: Requirements for education/license/experience, Skills for abilities. Let's see Required Qualifications bullet points: "Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited 4-year university. Study concentration in electric power, controls, or renewable energy preferred. Michigan P.E. License or ability to obtain one in 12 months. Ability and desire to manage projects and own outcomes. 4+ years of experience in electrical power, renewable energy, construction, or industrial maintenance fields. 2+ years of design or project experience specifically related to renewable energy and BESS projects 2+ years of experience managing engineering or construction projects. Experience with PVsyst or similar renewable modeling tools Experience preparing engineering proposals, fee estimates, schedules, or budgets. Ability to work independently and safely in utility, industrial, and construction environments. Ability to read, understand, and create complex electrical drawings including one-lines, 3-lines, and control schematics. Ability to create complex electrical design deliverables including one-lines, schematics, grounding, equipment layouts, and engineering studies with minimal oversight and guidance. Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrated team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills for contact with clients and fellow engineers/technicians. Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while coordinating engineering, design, and project execution activities. Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Perform job duties in the field and office, during non-standard work hours, as necessary. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the lower peninsula of Michigan." These are a mix of qualifications and skills. Could treat all as Requirements. But we also have Preferred Qualifications separate. Given we have both Requirements and Qualifications sections allowed, we could put Required Qualifications under Requirements, and Preferred Qualifications under Qualifications. Skills maybe not needed separately. However we could also create Skills section from abilities like "Ability to work independently..." etc. But that would duplicate content. Better to keep Requirements as all required qualifications (including abilities). Qualifications as preferred qualifications. Thus we may not need a separate Skills section. But we have the option to include Skills if we have content. We could extract skills from responsibilities like "Develop and maintain strong relationships..." etc. But those are responsibilities. Thus we will have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Benefits, Pay (maybe). We'll omit Skills. Now Benefits: from Why You’ll Love Working At NTH.
