Electrical Project Surveyor
About the role
We are looking to appoint electrical project surveyors to join our Planned Maintenance service, to predominantly work within the Mechanical & Electrical team.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for surveying domestic and commercial properties, working alongside the project engineer to develop work packages for contractor delivery.
- Oversight of contractor's day-to-day activities, collaborating with contractors and BCC staff to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
- Support and guidance to ensure safe, high-quality maintenance programmes and installations across the City Council’s housing stock.
- Collaborate with the project engineer to ensure adherence to Health and Safety, CDM regulations, and report issues to their line manager.
- Willingness to learn and understand new technologies to assist BCC in achieving its carbon reduction targets.
- Communicate understanding or knowledge to BCC residents, staff, and contractors.
Requirements
- Experience in electrical and construction surveying.
- An understanding of project management is desirable.
- Practical experience in helping to run construction projects.
- The drive to take the initiative to introduce innovations and continuously improve the service offered to residents.
Qualifications
- Experience and/or qualifications in the electrical industry.
- Recommended to have gained a Level 3 qualification in the related engineering background.

Pay
This is a FULL-TIME role, 37 hours per week and is a permanent role. Your working days will be Monday to Friday 8.00 - 16.00.
