Electrical Project Manager (BT)
About the role
Southern Industrial has been serving the manufacturing and industrial markets of the Southeast since 1962. We are a part of EMCOR Group, which enhances our service offerings with financial strength and a national presence. We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Project Manager based out of our Atlanta, GA office.
Essential Functions/Duties
- Works closely with clients, project management, and supervision to prepare, plan, develop, and oversee site projects.
- Establishes priorities and assigns resources or capital.
- Manages cost management, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting.
- Identifies and processes scope changes, addresses issues, communicates project milestones, and uses extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
- Develops new approaches to problems, prepares or modifies drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and ensures compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
- Maintains compliance with SIC policy, government regulations, and customer requirements, ensuring all equipment, tools, and employees assigned to the project operate accordingly.
- Maintains the safety program and monitors the performance of work by internal staff and external vendors, championing the Safety First mentality.
- Provides regular updates of project statuses to senior management.
- Travels to jobsites on a regular basis to oversee projects.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of previous electrical industrial construction experience.
- 2-5 years of client relationship and business development experience, including leading bid preparation and development.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility, and risk management.
- Strategic thinker capable of establishing and managing plans while building and fostering relationships.
- Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
- Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling software.
