Electrical Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assisting in managing the electrical portion of industrial construction projects.
• Work closely with superintendents and foremen in the field and interface with clients.
• Attend construction meetings, track schedules, manage budgets, and estimate jobs.
• Write proposals, place material orders, coordinate equipment deliveries, and distribute project-specific documents.

Requirements

• 5 - 10+ years’ experience in Industrial Electrical Construction/Installation.
• Good understanding of the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to read and understand construction specifications and detailed drawings.
• Computer proficiency with all MS applications, including MS Project or Planner.
• Experience in planning and scheduling.
• Strong customer interface and relationship building skills.
• Ability to communicate with crews in the field, including union employees.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Knowledgeable in electrical applications in an industrial environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software, such as Accubid or McCormick.
• Estimating experience required.
• Capable of walking throughout a large manufacturing plant for required meetings and other required duties.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) according to company and client policies.
