Electrical Project Manager
About the role
PureGrid Electrical is seeking a Project Manager with strong organizational, communication, and technical skills. The ideal candidate will manage mid-sized industrial electrical projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining safety, accuracy, and adherence to schedules.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on schedule
- Coordinate with field operations, site superintendents, and engineering teams to provide clear plans and labor support
- Track and expedite long-lead electrical equipment, coordinate material delivery, and ensure supplier quality
- Monitor project budgets, process billings, manage subcontracts, and handle potential scope changes or change order requests
- Facilitate regular project alignment meetings with general contractors, owners, and engineering teams
- Maintain organized project records, manage RFIs, submittals, and drawing updates throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- 3–7 years of Project Management or Assistant Project Manager experience in electrical subcontracting
- Exposure to industrial electrical or commercial design-build projects
- Solid foundational understanding of medium-to-heavy industrial electrical work, power distribution equipment, and construction blueprints
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on trade experience
- Strong proficiency with modern construction management tools, specifically Procore and Bluebeam
- Highly organized with a structured work style, clear communication skills, and a practical, hands-on approach to project management
Qualifications
- Ability to travel to support nationwide job sites during key project phases
- Based out of Downers Grove, IL or one of our Texas hubs

Necessary Qualifications
- Experience: 3–7 years of Project Management or Assistant Project Manager experience within the electrical subcontracting space
- Technical Knowledge: solid foundational understanding of medium-to-heavy industrial electrical work, power distribution equipment, and construction blueprints
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on trade experience
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency with modern construction management tools; day-to-day experience using Procore and Bluebeam is required
- Skills & Approach: Highly organized with a structured work style, clear communication skills, and a practical, hands-on approach to keeping projects moving efficiently
