Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight in client management, procedural issues, financial and reporting issues, and workforce planning and analysis.
  • Promote the growth and development of client relationships.
  • Manage the workload, professional development, and client development skills of project management staff.
  • Initiate, execute, and document a quality job start-up meeting for project(s).
  • Manage and maintain Strategic Partner subcontractor and vendor relationships, including verification of timely payment.
  • Perform monthly project reviews with project teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality of work, safety, administration, and profitability.
  • Analyze available and qualified personnel and make specific project assignments to meet project needs.
  • Regularly participate in meetings and presentations to secure new work.
  • Absolutely manage customer relations and change order negotiations.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and document project close out meetings.
  • Verify project data sheets and photos (with client permission) for all completed projects.
  • Responsible for all financial reporting, tracking, and projection of all labor, material, job expense, and changes for each project assigned.
  • Create a project specific schedule of values that will maintain positive cash flow for each project assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred, high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 10 years successful PM experience in electrical construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and managing others.
  • Business development and heavy client interaction experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with owners with positive results.
  • Viewed as a true advocate of the owner and someone they can rely on to build a team as well as a building.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); and Accubid.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Proven people management, process management, and performance management skills.
  • Current and valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, standing, or stretching.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Move about on the feet regularly.
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • May require travel.
  • Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  • Talk and hear, ability to communicate with others both written and orally and by telephone.
  • Possess good vision, normal or corrected.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Possesses good hearing, normal or corrected.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest), as needed.
  • Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed.
  • Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
  • Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
