Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Electrical Project Engineer to join a thriving team in La Porte, TX (preferred), or Houston, TX. This role involves managing complex electrical installations and ensuring project success from start to finish. The position offers a blend of in-office work with regional and national travel, providing diverse experiences and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical projects from conception to completion.
• Interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate project planning, execution, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical project engineering or management.
• Proven experience in electrical project management or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.
• Proficiency with relevant software tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% regionally and nationwide.
• Ability to commute to La Porte, TX, or Houston, TX regularly.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale industrial or commercial electrical projects.
• Familiarity with LEED or other sustainability certifications.
• Previous experience managing budgets and schedules for electrical projects.
• Certification such as PE (Professional Engineer) or PMP.
• Prior experience working on regional or nationwide projects.
