Electrical Project Engineer

About the role

Mitsubishi Polyester Film, Inc. in Greer, SC is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Project Engineering group. The successful candidate will ensure assigned project goals and objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering project packages, including tracking costs, assessing resources, and meeting project deadlines.
• Develop preliminary engineering details on feasibility, estimate costs, and prepare schedules for projects.
• Create equipment specifications, analyze bids, and make recommendations.
• Recommend purchases and enter requisitions into the SAP database.
• Observe and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality, and safety standards.
• Support project startup and ensure drawing packages are updated in the document management system.
• Troubleshoot equipment, gather data, and develop solutions to support projects.
• Report on the status of assigned projects and review progress with internal clients.
• Experience with power, lighting, and grounding design for voltage levels such as 480VAC, 277VAC, and 120VAC.
• Collaborate with electrical designers to create and update drawings, including Single Line Diagrams, Power Panel Schedules, Power Plans, Lighting Plans, Motor Control elementaries, Loop Diagrams, and Cable Schedules.
• Specify and purchase low-voltage power distribution equipment.
• Respond to questions from electrical contractors and assist with startup testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years of engineering and project management experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Functional knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to develop work scopes.

Skills

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• SAP experience is a plus but not required.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Experience with extrusion and/or film lines is strongly desirable but not required.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $95,000–$120,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence the base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment if authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in the posting.
