Electrical Project Engineer

Evergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with 2-5 years of MEP experience in commercial construction to work on projects within our core markets: Healthcare, Higher Education, Advanced Technology, Life Sciences, and Commercial.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction support for MEP systems.
• Participate in and apply EIG’s Environmental Health and Safety Plan to maintain injury-free environments, including performing weekly safety audits.
• Understand and enforce contracts between EIG and Subcontractors as well as EIG and DPR.
• Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in implementing EIG’s policies and executing the project.
• Organize the duties of other Engineers, Field Office Coordinator, Project Accountant, and other assigned project staff, including providing direction and prioritization.
• Participate in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.
• Organize and electronically archive project files for easy access by the project team.
• Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules.
• Work with the Superintendent to reduce the impact of project constraints on the schedule.
• Prepare, maintain, and implement various document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
• Coordinate and resolve project issues promptly within the project team, interfacing with Designers, Engineers, and Owners.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of assigned project scopes with a 100% hands-on approach.
• Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties.
• Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings including Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.
• Monitor testing and inspection records and reports, safety inspection and accident logs, and record building permit inspections and sign-offs.

Requirements

• Grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.
• Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust as required to support the project’s current needs.
• Desire to seek out and resolve construction problems/conflicts that arise during design and construction phases.
• Effective participation in a team environment.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar), and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar).
• Strong work ethic, a “can-do” attitude, and a passion for construction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within EIG’s core markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
