About the role
Mitsubishi Polyester Film, Inc. in Greer, SC is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to work as a member of the Project Engineering group, ensuring assigned project goals and objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Develop engineering project packages, including tracking costs, assessing resources, and meeting project deadlines.
- Develop preliminary engineering details on feasibility, estimate costs, and prepare schedules for projects.
- Create equipment specifications, analyze bids, and make recommendations.
- Recommend purchases and enter requisitions into the SAP database.
- Observe and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality, and safety standards.
- Support project startup and ensure drawing packages are updated in the document management system.
- Troubleshoot equipment, gather data, and develop solutions to support projects.
- Report on the status of assigned projects and review progress with internal clients.
- Design and collaborate on power, lighting, and grounding systems (typical voltage levels: 480VAC, 277VAC, 120VAC).
- Collaborate with electrical designers to create and update drawings, including Single Line Diagrams, Power Panel Schedules, Power Plans, Lighting Plans, Motor Control Elementaries, Loop Diagrams, and Cable Schedules.
- Specify and purchase low-voltage power distribution equipment.
- Respond to questions from electrical contractors and assist with startup testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 years of engineering and project management experience preferred.
- Experience with extrusion and/or film lines is strongly desirable but not required.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Functional knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and develop work scopes.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project; SAP is a plus.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $95,000–$120,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence the base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment if authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in the posting.
