Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Executive Vice President of Construction Management and attend weekly group meetings to discuss current projects, potential new projects, and areas of concern.
  • Manage Project Directors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and office staff within your assigned group in accordance with Prism standards and procedures while maintaining duties for specifically assigned projects.
  • Attend all Handoff and Review meetings for projects assigned to your group.
  • Organize project-specific weekly staff meetings, ensure meeting minutes are maintained and distributed.
  • Work with the E.V.P. of Construction Management to maintain current policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Review Cost-to-Complete (CTCs) with Project Managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness; attend all CTCs for assigned projects.
  • Review and assist in the Construction Estimate process to ensure compliance with Prism Standards.
  • Review subcontracts and work orders for new projects.
  • Review change orders to ensure Prism minimum standards are followed for both GC/Owner and from GC/Owner.
  • Review all major purchases (bulk buys, blanket pricing, major equipment); forward purchase orders over $100,000 to the EVP of Construction Management for approval.
  • Review vendor or subcontractor exceptions to Prism’s Terms and Conditions and forward to the E.V.P. of Construction Management for approval.
  • Review budget codes for new project setup and change orders.
  • Train or assist in training new or current Project Managers and Project Engineers on policies, procedures, and implementation of new policies.
  • Assess Project Managers’ methods, project staffing, workload, and responsibilities to ensure productivity, efficiency, and alignment with estimated budgets.
  • Review and ensure proper guidelines and procedures are followed when working with the BIM Department.
  • Ensure proper notifications are sent regarding schedule impacts, vendor delays, or equipment delays.
  • Perform evaluations of Project Management staff, approve PTO, and assist Upper Management in project assignments.
  • Perform duties in coordination with General Superintendent, QA/QC, and Safety Managers.
  • Guide, assist, and verify compliance with all Prism Policies and Procedures related to the management of construction projects.

Requirements

  • Proven people management, process management, and performance management skills.
  • Knowledge of financial software, accounting practices, change order pricing, and billings.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling skills.
  • Proficiency in information analysis and budget setup.
