Electrical Process Engineering Aide II
About the role
As an Electrical Process Engineering Aide II on our Process Engineering team, you will be expected to actively support the development of bill of materials (BOMs) and routings for electrical products including switchgear, motor-generator sets, motor control centers, discrete electrical components, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with process/parts/manufacturing engineering and shop technicians to develop and maintain consistent, standardized BOMs and routings for electrical products that clearly define requirements including proper setup and configuration of work centers.
- Lead pre-job briefs with shop technicians to ensure routing operations are clearly understood and executable. Initiate amendments prior to the start of manufacturing activities.
- Lead post-job briefs with shop technicians to understand successes/difficulties encountered during manufacturing. Initiate amendments to BOMs/routings/drawings/procedures as required.
- Support the development of standard work instructions/operating procedures (SOPs), factory acceptance testing (FATs), commercial dedication instructions (CDIs), inspection practices, etc. for electrical products.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives including enhancing breaker shop standard operating procedures and gathering feedback from shop technicians.
Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in hands-on electrical product manufacturing role or related discipline required.
- Experience with SAP PP and QM modules.
- Experience interpreting product drawings, wiring diagrams and/or sketches.
- Experience with electrical hardware testing and inspection.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,345.00 to $84,258.00 per year.
