About the Role

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer or Principal Electrical Test Engineer for the Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) On Board Test Equipment (OBTE) integration and test team. This position is located in Roy, UT, supporting the Sentinel (GBSD) program with occasional travel to other hub locations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
  • Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
  • Test planning, execution, reporting, and integration support.
  • Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build or hardware component.
  • Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of verification.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and support formal verification of the system.
  • Product integration, regression, and verification testing, including checkout in system test labs.
  • Short- and long-term integration planning and execution of multiple concurrent baselines, emphasizing system stability and performance.
  • Integrate hardware from sub-system teams, interface with other elements, and support system and segment level teams.
  • Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with:
    • 2+ years of experience (Electrical Engineer role), or
    • 5+ years of experience (Principal Electrical Engineer role), or
  • Master’s degree in a STEM field with:
    • 0 years of experience (Electrical Engineer role), or
    • 3+ years of experience (Principal Electrical Engineer role), or
  • PhD in a STEM field with 1+ years of experience (Principal Electrical Engineer role).
  • Software and/or hardware testing experience.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, including a Single Scope Background Investigation or periodic reinvestigation completed within the last 6 years.
  • Automated test experience (development and execution).
  • Experience with Siemens Capital cable design tools.
  • Proficiency in DOORS and Cameo.
  • Teamcenter/CPLM experience.
  • Continuous Process Improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of various data transmission formats (e.g., Serial, TCP/IP, Fiber).
  • Experience designing and setting up a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) type test lab.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

Base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Schedule

This position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
