About the Role

The Electrical Preconstruction Manager ensures companywide success in adherence to MCC Standards and all preconstruction activities for the electrical scope across Manhattan’s preconstruction deliverables. This role involves guiding and mentoring team members, requiring flexibility, adaptability, strong communication, and client service skills. Confidence in delivering work and messages is crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Manhattan’s Electrical / Low Voltage Services to clients
  • Meet client needs and budget; attend OAC and design meetings
  • Provide concept budget assistance and perform value management analysis
  • Coordinate with operations team to ensure accurate cost budgets are sent to accounting
  • Maintain the Manhattan Code of Business Practices and ensure team adherence to Guiding Principles
  • Establish and monitor subcontractor relationships
  • Assist with bid-day assignments and organize preconstruction meetings
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of general conditions estimates, schedules, and below-the-line costs
  • Support business development strategies
  • Ensure thorough understanding and compliance with risk management policies
  • Coordinate subcontractor networking efforts
  • Review all subcontracts prior to issuance
  • Manage team expectations and conduct quarterly check-ins and performance reviews
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with Guiding Principles and exhibit attributes matching the Way We Work
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent (may substitute with related experience on a one-to-one basis)
  • 12 years of industry experience
  • Experience with and knowledge of electrical scope of work (subcontractor/design firm)
