Key Responsibilities
- Cut, strip, crimp, route, label, and terminate wires according to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Drill, tap, and mount subpanels, enclosures, DIN rails, relays, switches, transformers, and other electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, engineered layouts, and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
- Assemble custom electrical control panels in accordance with company quality standards and UL 508A requirements.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, proper connections, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, and digital multimeters safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA guidelines.
- Absorb and assist with inventory tracking, material handling, and final product packaging as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience and Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience using basic shop hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, and digital multimeters.
- Ability to perform detailed electrical assembly work accurately and consistently.
- Physical and Logistical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks for extended periods during an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull components weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in electrical wiring, industrial control panel building, or electronic assembly.
- Familiarity with UL 508A industrial control panel standards.
