Electrical Panel Shop Assembler / Wireman

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, strip, crimp, route, label, and terminate wires according to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Drill, tap, and mount subpanels, enclosures, DIN rails, relays, switches, transformers, and other electrical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, engineered layouts, and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
  • Assemble custom electrical control panels in accordance with company quality standards and UL 508A requirements.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, proper connections, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, and digital multimeters safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA guidelines.
  • Absorb and assist with inventory tracking, material handling, and final product packaging as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience and Technical Skills:
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing drawings.
    • Experience using basic shop hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, and digital multimeters.
    • Ability to perform detailed electrical assembly work accurately and consistently.
  • Physical and Logistical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks for extended periods during an eight-hour shift.
    • Ability to lift, push, and pull components weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Education:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in electrical wiring, industrial control panel building, or electronic assembly.
  • Familiarity with UL 508A industrial control panel standards.
