Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents accurately.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine component placement and wiring routes.
  • Mount and install a variety of electrical and electronic components, such as circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), onto an enclosure.
  • Perform detailed wiring and cabling, cutting, stripping, and crimping wires to ensure secure and correct connections.
  • Manage wire routing and bundling for a neat and organized panel.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure the panel functions correctly.
  • Meet quality standards and safety regulations (e.g., UL).
  • Must have ability to also troubleshoot and diagnose issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment like multimeters, wire strippers, and crimpers.

Requirements

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols and standards are crucial, as the job involves working with electricity and power tools.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems, components, circuits, and assembly techniques. The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Attention to Detail: Must have excellent manual dexterity and a keen eye for detail to ensure components are correctly placed and wired.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the assembly and testing process.
