Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Goodyear, AZ.

About the role

The E/M Maintenance Technician works independently installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers).
• Repairs various types of facility equipment (lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC).
• Troubleshoots and repairs PLC-controlled equipment.
• Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventive maintenance.
• Completes installation and repair work from schematics and drawings.
• Performs minor electrical installations.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through 2+ years of experience.
• Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work at excessive heights.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed.
