Your tasks

  • Oversee the Electrical Schematics and Electrical Installation teams.
  • Manage engineering capacity, ensure project compliance, and foster team growth through training and mentorship.
  • Continuous development and management of the Electrical Installation and Schematics team.
  • Manage work packages within project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Office), ensuring accurate capacity planning and task allocation.
  • Prepare installation drawings, schematics, and production documentation with the team.
  • Work in PLM systems (SmarTeam, Teamcenter) and tooling landscapes to streamline workflows.
  • Facilitate the adoption of the current designs to American Railway Standards.
  • Create/optimize and establish engineering processes, guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Ensure that the relevant electrical engineering work packages adhere to both cost and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments (System Engineers, Mechanical, Project Management, Production, and Quality) throughout product development stages.
  • Lead technical releases of articles, 3D models, drawings, and associated documentation, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Ensure all electrical installation, schematic, and design activities meet company standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, or GED is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years in electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Knowledge of Catia V5 or other 3D-Modelling tools.
  • Experience with Zuken E3, JIRA, and Smarteam/Teamcenter is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven management experience within an engineering team.
  • Familiarity with production processes and installation instructions.
  • Ability to effectively function in an international working environment.
